Refurbishment and extensions to a period building originally built as a private house now a commercial office premises. The works involved, re-roofing, new traditional sliding sash windows, Upgrading insulation, Demand Control Ventilation, Rear office extension, Heat pump and solar installation along with fitted furniture, finishes and other associated works.
​This project also contained a significant element of conservation and restoration works.

Church of The Three Patrons, Rathgar Road, Dublin 6.

In 2019 Joseph Mac Namee and Company Limited were awarded the contract for the demolition of the existing parish hall and the construction of a new parish hall extension and internal refurbishment works at the Church of the Three Patrons Rathgar Road. A mixed and varied project combining modern construction technology and traditional conservation practices as well as other elements such as site-works & landscaping. The main church remained in full operation during the works.


Steelworks Mixed Use Development, Foley Street, Dublin 1.

In 2019 Joseph Mac Namee and Company returned to the Steelworks development to carry out an extensive external refurbishment of the external facade of Block D. Since we first worked on this development in early 2015 we have carried out numerous and varied works in this development. In this latest phase of works the existing rain-screen cladding system installed by others in 2007 was defective and therefore needed to be replaced with an external insulated render system. The project involved scaffolding the entire seven storey facade to a height of over 25 metres, the removal of the existing rain-screen cladding system, providing new seals to external windows and curtain wall panels, the installation of a new Weber external insulated render system and associated works to existing window cills, rain water system, flashings etc. The building was in full occupation and use throughout the works.

Church of St Columbanus & St Gall, Milltown Road, Dublin 6.

In the summer of 2018 we were engaged to carry out extensive internal refurbishment and to demolish and re-construct an existing extension to the Church of St Columbanus & St Gall, Milltown Road Dublin 6. The project, which was carried out over two phases in 2018 and 2019, entailed extensive internal refurbishment, new mechanical & electrical services, natural Blue Bangor roof slating, renewing flat roofs, rainwater goods, roof-lights, internal and external decoration, floor sanding, new finishes and other associated works. Also part of the works was the demolition and reconstruction of the existing boiler house to the side of the existing church building.

The Corn Mill Apartment Complex, Distillery Road, Dublin 3.

In early 2019 Joseph Mac Namee and Company carried out fire upgrading works at the Corn Mill Apartment Complex which is located on Distillery Road, Dublin 3. The project involved fitting new fire doors, repairs to existing fire doors & joinery, replacement of external high-level cladding, roofing repairs and other general repair & maintenance works throughout this mixed use development.

Belvedere College, Great Denmark Street, Dublin 1.

In the summer of 2015 we carried out an extensive internal refurbishment providing a new Library and Learning Resource Centre in the Kerr wing of Belvedere College. The project involved a complete strip out and re-modelling. 
In 2014 Joseph Mac Namee and Company carried out a refurbishment and conversion of an existing library in Belvedere College converting it into a new Home Economics Room.

The Steelworks Building, Foley Street, Dublin 1.

In early 2015 Joseph Mac Namee and Company Limited were engaged to carry out extensive internal fire upgrading works within a large scale mixed residential and commercial campus, comprising several residential  / commercial mixed use buildings. Works largely involved fire upgrading and fire proofing, replacement of fire doors, fire barriers and alteration to existing fire safety and emergency lighting services. 

The Church of The Nativity of Our Lord, Beaumont, Dublin 9.

In 2014 Joseph Mac Namee and Company Limited were awarded the contract for the internal refurbishment of the Church of the Nativity of Our Lord, Montrose Park, Dublin 9. This project entailed a complete internal refurbishment of the main church building including new altar furniture, natural limestone reredos feature wall, altar re-modelling with new oak steps to front, provision of new carpets throughout, re-wiring, new lighting, internal re-decoration and other associated works.

Purcell House, All Hallows College, Drumcondra, Dublin 9.

Joseph Mac Namee and Company Limited were awarded the contract for the internal refurbishment of Purcell House, All Hallows College, Drumcondra, Dublin 9. The project entailed bedroom refurbishment and provision of new en-suite bathrooms to sixty bedrooms on the upper three floors providing upgraded and modern delegate accommodation. In addition common areas, reception rooms and meeting rooms were also refurbished. Although this project was of a commercial nature it contained a considerable amount of conservation works within a protected structure, such conservation works included repairs to period plaster and joinery features, sash window refurbishment and external cast iron rain water goods.

Our Lady of Good Council Church, Killiney, Co Dublin.

Joseph Mac Namee and Company Limited were awarded the contract to carry out extensive refurbishment of Our Lady of Good Council Church, Killiney, Co Dublin. The project included comprehensive internal refurbishment works carried out in conjunction with a new sacristy extension, complete re-roofing, new stained glass windows and other associated works. The Church remained in operation throughout the works.

Radiological Protection Institute of Ireland, Clonskeagh, Dublin 14.

At the Radiological Protection Institute of Ireland head offices and laboratories in Clonskeagh Dublin, Joseph Mac Namee & Co Limited carried out a complete laboratory refurbishment and associated upgrading works. The works entailed a total strip out and re-fit of existing radiological laboratory, incorporating new electrical & mechanical services, laboratory furniture, fire-proofing works, joinery, finishes and decoration. The building remained in client occupation and operation throughout the course of the works.

National Drug Advisory and Treatment Centre, Pearse Street, Dublin 2.

Joseph Mac Namee and Co Limited were awarded the contract for an extensive internal refurbishment and external lift shaft extension to the rear of the Drug Treatment Centre building on Pearse Street Dublin 2. The Building is a five storey building and works on all five storeys were carried out on a rolling phase basis while the building was still occupied and functioning normally.

The Royal Irish Yacht Club, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin.

Joseph Mac Namee and Co Limited were engaged to carry out extensive internal refurbishments including works to the bar and library of the Royal Irish Yacht Club, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin.

Wynns Hotel, Lower Abbey Street, Dublin 1.

Joseph Mac Namee and Company Limited were appointed to carry out a rear extension and several refurbishments to Wynn’s Hotel. Initially works commenced on upper floor bedroom refurbishment and the provision of new en-suite bathrooms. Further to the successful completion of those works Joseph Mac Namee and Company Limited were engaged to construct a ground floor bar extension, install an new keg lift, carry out basement refurbishment, and a complete refurbishment of kitchen and restaurant areas. The bar extension and restaurant refurbishment projects at Wynn's also contained a strong element of conservation work practices in matching and extending existing period features.

St Patrick's College, Drumcondra, Dublin 9.

Joseph Mac Namee and Company Limited were awarded the contract for the refurbishment and extension of office, administration and gents & ladies WC block.

The Little Company of Mary, Rathgar, Dublin 6.

Over many years Joseph Mac Namee and Company Limited have carried out numerous projects for the sisters of the Little Company of Mary. Such works included, kitchen refurbishment, new link building, external re-plastering, new windows and many other associated refurbishment, alteration and maintenance works.
