No 85 King Street, Smithfield, Dublin 1.

Conservation and repair works to a fragile and vulnerable historic protected structure. Re-roofing with natural slate, internal lime plastering, plaster lath ceilings, cornice restoration, period joinery repairs, works to staircases, damp-proofing and other associated structural and conservation repair works.

Provision of two new internal en suite bathrooms and associated drainage works. Carried out within an important and sensitive period building. Alteration to historic fabric and provision of new period features to match the finishes of the existing house.

The Church of The Holy Redeemer, Bray, Co Wicklow.

In early 2020 Joseph Mac Namee and Company Limited commenced an extensive and detailed refurbishment project at the Church of the Holy Redeemer Bray, Co Wicklow. A landmark building that is located on Bray's Main Street. The project is currently ongoing and includes extensive refurbishment works such as internal re-modelling, new joinery, stonework, internal lime plastering, roof works, replacement of historic cast iron rain water goods, roof slating repairs, re-wiring, refurbishment of period joinery, new wall and floor finishes, internal decoration and other related works.

Church of St Alphonsus and Columba, Ballybrack, Co Dublin.

In 2019 Joseph Mac Namee and Company Limited were appointed to carry out repairs to the building fabric to the Church of St Alphonsus and Columba. A traditional stone church building built in the 1850s that had been showing some signs of water ingress. The works involved external stonework re-pointing in traditional lime mortar, internal re-plastering in lime plaster, plaster-lath work, structural roof timber repairs, removing and re-laying stone cappings for the insertion of lead damp-proof courses and associated roof works. In addition an extensive timber attic access walkway was also constructed within the main roof void. Also electrical upgrading works were executed throughout the building.

No 40 Waterloo Road, Dublin 4.

No 40 Waterloo Road is a early 19th century four storey dwelling that Joseph Mac Namee and Co Limited carried out extensive refurbishment and conservation works to throughout 2018. The project involved working with traditional trades such as lime plastering, brickwork, cast iron rainwater goods, roof re-slating, re-construction of brickwork chimneys, fitted furniture, refurbishment and replacement of historic sash windows. In addition extensive Mechanical and Electrical services upgrades were undertaken. The property is divided into eight separate apartments and the project encompassed a complete renovation and upgrade of each unique apartment.

No 59 Ranelagh Dublin 6.

In 2017, Joseph Mac Namee and Company carried out an extensive refurbishment of a protected structure No 59 Ranelagh. No 59 is an existing late 19th century period building. The project involved converting it from office use to ground floor retail unit and a separate private apartment on the two upper floors. The project entailed many trades and works associated with internal refurbishment that were executed on a very confined and restricted site. The roofs were recovered with natural blue Bangor slates, existing sash windows refurbished & draught-proofed, new internal lime plastering, new Mechanical & Electrical services, floor & wall finishes and other associated works were carried out during this extensive refurbishment and re-modelling.


Granada House, St John of Gods Hospital, Stillorgan, County Dublin.

In 2017 Joseph Mac Namee and Company Limited were engaged to carry out conservation and restoration works to Granada House, St John of Gods Hospital Stillorgan, Co Dublin. Works involved traditional trades and skills such external lime plastering, re-building historic chimneys, copper roof repairs, roof re-slating, masonry repairs and other associated works.

The Unitarian Church, St Stephens Green, Dublin 2.

Joseph Mac Namee and Company Limited were engaged over two phases for the complete external restoration of the external building fabric, including the entire roof re-slating & associated lead work, copper roofing works, external stonework repairs, re-modelling & stonework re-pointing, decorating and stained glass window refurbishment. The church remained open and in full operation throughout the duration of the works. In addition we have also carried out other repair and maintenance works at the Unitarian Church on various separate occasions. 

Monkstown Parish Church, Monkstown, Co Dublin.

Works at Monkstown Parish Church included stonework repairs, re-pointing & cleaning, roof re-slating, copper flashings & valleys, stained glass window refurbishment. The internal works on this project included woodwork treatment, lime plastering & lime plaster repairs, ceiling augmentation, truss strengthening and extensive ornate re-decoration. The church remained open and in operation throughout the duration of the works.

Dublin Dental Hospital, Dublin 2.

Joseph Mac Namee and Co Limited were awarded the contract for conservation and restoration works to the front facade of the Dublin Dental Hospital buildings on Lincolin Place, Dublin 2. The project works included sash and casement window refurbishment, the provision of new internal secondary glazing, brickwork re-pointing, repairs & cleaning, mortar & stonework repairs and new lead cappings. In addition to the works to the front facade other works including partial roof re-slating and roof repairs, lead flashings, new cast iron rainwater pipework were also carried out.

Number Four Merrion Square, Dublin 2.

Joseph Mac Namee and Company Limited were appointed to carry out several different work projects in number 4 Merrion Square, Dublin 2. The works included sash and casement window refurbishment, pitched roof re-slating, lead flashings, repairs to chimneys, re-pointing & repairs to brickwork. Removal of non-original WC extension and its replacement with curved sash window. In addition to carrying out work to the external fabric of the building Joseph Mac Namee and Company Limited have also carried out extensive internal refurbishment, restoration and alteration works on all levels.

Number Eleven Northbrook Road, Dublin 6.

Works carried out at number 11 Northbrook road included complete internal refurbishment, provision of new en-suite bathrooms, new services installation, refurbishment and draught-proofing of existing sash windows, decoration and other associated works.




Private School, Bray, Co Wicklow.

Joseph Mac Namee and Company Limited have carried out, and continue to carry out, numerous conservation, restoration and maintenance works at this private school building in Co. Wicklow. The works have included roof re-slating and slating repairs, repairs to flashing's. Sash window draught-proofing & refurbishment, woodwork treatment, kitchen refurbishment and other associated internal works.

Glendruid House, Cabinteely, Co Dublin: Structural repairs to late 18th century private dwelling. Replacement of lintels, structural supports to original timber staircase, structural timber repairs and roof repairs.

Northumberland Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4: New cast iron rainwater pipework system, brickwork repairs re-pointing in tuck style pointing, brickwork cleaning, repairs and draught-proofing to sash windows and external decoration.
No 8 Glenart Avenue, Blackrock, Co Dublin: Roof re-slating using natural blue bangor slates, replacement of lead flashings and lead valleys.
Church of St Francis Xavier, Gardiner Street, Dublin 1: Roof repair works, re-pointing brickwork chimneys and other restoration works.
